Some future supermodels

Miss Megs had a sleepover for her 12th birthday with three of her gorgeous friends. So what did we do while they were her - have a photoshoot of course. They really hammed it up for the camera and we all had a ball. I love these first two shots and printed them out for the girls to take home the next day. It was lovely to have such willing participants.

And finally one of Megan in full pose. Such a show off!!!!!

Well needless to say I am thrilled with the shots, I have not edited them at all and once again my Nikon has proved that it produces some beautiful vibrant colours, especially green, it comes out looking so lush. I'm waiting for PS10, hopefully will arrive next weekend with my brother and then I'll have a play with these shots. Hoping to buy some actions as well but don't want to shell out money for elements when I'm doing the upgrade. Wooooo, should be fun.

On another note I have booked in to do an online course with Sheye Rosemeyer. It is the Explore workshop and will cover photography and editing. I'm a bit excited, Sheye is such a beautiful photographer, hope to learn a lot. My photo editing skills are very basic so would love to learn how to perfect an image. So roll on February, I can't wait to start!!!!!

No scrapping here, but have had more layouts picked up for publication so they have been removed from my blog. School starts tomorrow so really hoping to do something this week, but first job is to clean my desk. It has accumlated all sorts of junk over the hols.

Ok, off to do the ironing. Thanks for stopping by.

Polkadot Place January Kit

Ok I am a bit behind, forgot to blog about the new January kit from the Polkadot Place. How gorgeous is it, full of October Afternoon goodness. I love how Bridgette has put this kit together. I am still impatiently waiting for mine to arrive in the post, along with the latest Scrapbooking Memories mag. Grrrrrr please postie, stop by my place on Monday.

Hope everyone is fairing okay with the floods. My husband had almost two metres of water through his workplace so they have been attacking stinking mud for the last couple of days. Not much fun but they are all safe so that is the main thing.

First layout for 2011

Hi all, one week into 2011 and I got to scrap my first layout. Miss Megs 12th birthday was on the 2nd January and I lined her up for a few photos of course. This is my absolute favourite.

Almost everything I used came from my first kit from The Polkadot Place. The colours matched perfectly and I love the little handmade flower Bridge included in the kit. So pop over and have a look and get your own kit. January's kit will be released soon so keep an eye out.
(This layout is off on a special holiday, will give you more details later)

Megan is having three friends over later today for a swim and sleepover so I must go and get sorted out. Hope you are all having a lovely New Year.

Christmas Day

This is our chrissie tree, it was all pink and silver this year, very pretty, but every year we still have to put the kids baubles on, regardless of the colour theme. I had them handmade at Myer the year the kids were born, Miss Megs is the green one on the top left and Blake's is the red one, middle right.

The kids all excited first thing chrissie morning

Out of all Blake's pressies this one was the hugest hit. As of the beginning of January I think he has solved it three times already. This is my boy the thinker. He is so into problem solving, but I really thought it would take him a bit longer.

And Megs opening a pressie, she scored this year and got a laptop as a combined birthday and christmas gift. She is starting middle school in 2011 so it was time.

Not the best of photos, but hey who cares. The kids had a ball and afterall it is all about them on Christmas Day.

We were on our own this year, just our little family. Was hoping to spend the day around the pool but alas the weather was feral. We did get to have lunch outside though which was lovely. Then it was packing up to head to Yamba on Boxing Day.

Hope everyone's Christmas was awesome.

T'was the night before Christmas

I'm determined to do some catch-up posts to bring me up to date, so I'm jumping back a bit. Here are the kids putting out some treats for Santa and his reindeer. I love this plate, it was a gift from Grandma Helen (Ash's mum) quite a few years ago and comes out every Christmas EveSo this year Santa has a beer, two Anzac bickies and a carrot for the reindeer. Here's hoping Santa comes in the morning.
