Back again

with the next DT challenge LO over at Scrapability Sketches. We had to scraplift a LO from the gallery.

I chose to scraplift Ebony Van Der Starre because her style is so similar to mine and her work always catches my eye. I chose this particular LO because I wanted to scrap some smaller photos and this was perfect. I have changed it quite a lot, but the elements are similar, the scalloped edges, the base papers in the LO, the colours are similar.

Here is Eb's LO -

And here is mine -
The cute handpainted buttons are from Such Sweet Tierney and the cute little birdie is My little bit of whimsy

I love both of these shops, they have the cutest stuff.

I really enjoyed this challenge, ready now for the last one, and Bek says it's a doozy.

Girly Grunge

Ok, this is my latest LO for the DT tryout over at Scrapability Sketches
The brief was -
Theme : Favourite Things and Grunge !

Please include the following :
3 patterned papers
1 or more photos
1 journalling tag
Mixed alphas...

SO please put in a grunge style and please include some journalling (point form is fine too !) about your favourite things.
Well I don't know how grungy this is, I started off with lots of paint and doodling and this is what it evolved into. I guess I'll call it girly grunge.
Hope your weekend has been fabulous so far.

And a couple more

With a bit more concrete, the fence going up and the water feature with the planter boxes. Starting to take shape.

The new pool

Well this is the shell of the pool, the backyard is an absolute mess, but we were so lucky to actually get the concrete poured. We are in the middle of our wet season and it has poured.

Ash has been digging trenches and stuff for all the drains to go in before the rest of the concrete goes down.

It is looking a bit further progressed now, will post some more photos later today.

Scrapability Soup Challenge

Well this is the next challenge over at Scrapability Sketches. The brief was to use Kraft CS, Bling/Pearls, a Transparency, Rubons, Flowers and the twist was to do an 8.5 x 11 LO. That was the hard bit for me, have never done one before, though I quite like how it suits a 6x4 photo. If you can't spot the rubon, I have rubbed a Kaiser flourish onto a Heidi Swapp Acetate heart.

Have to attack my DT challenge LO next, maybe Thursday.

Cheers

My latest layouts

for the DT tryout over at Scrapability Sketches. This one was a vintage brief, the colour is not the best because of our awful weather the last week or so, I couldn't get a decent shot.

And a few closeups

I handmande the brown and the two red tissue paper flowers. If you are interested here is the link on the tutorial over at Scrapping Outback. They are a bit messy but quite easy and lots of fun.

And this LO was done for the DT challenge #4. We were provided with a sketch this time. Loved this one, I did tweak it a bit and this was the result. The cute little button in the left hand corner is Such Sweet Tierney. She does the cutest hand painted buttons and sells them on her etsy store. The baubles you will find in the shop over at Scrapping Outback and the journalling block you can find over at Pumpkin Pink. I have just cut this one in half, they are so cute and versatile.

Guess I am being very productive at the moment, makes for a change.

Sorry still haven't posted any photos of the pool, will try and get back soon.

Cheers
