Published Layouts

Well I was lucky enough to have THREE (squeals very loudly) layouts in Scrapbooking Memories two issues ago - Volume 12 No 3. Just thought I would update and put them on my blog.

I was asked to do a layout for Product Spotlight on felt. Well this is what I came up with, we were in the middle of moving so I pumped this one out pretty quick and sent it in. Nothing like doing things at the last minute - LOL. The green has come out different in the mag. I love this photo of my baby girl, can you believe she is eleven??????

And these last two were featured in the Encore Gallery (oooohhhhh I loved this Prima paper I used for my background), and I have even used glitter alphas. Anyone who knows me knows I have a huge problem scrapping with bling or glitter. I just can't bring myself to use it, but use it I did and I love the finished product.

And a layout of myself which I NEVER do. This was dress up night at The Boxx Retreat in Perth that I attended March 2009. It was Friday the 13th, what an awesome reason to drag out the spooky gear.

Thanks for dropping by.

A belated happy Mother's Day

Some nice photos -

and some silly ones -

Just thought I would pop some Mother's Day photos up. I was feeling a bit sorry for myself on Sunday, I had to drop my hubby out to the airport at 7.30am so we left here about 6.30am (no sleep in - grrrrrr), picked the kids up from my friends house (they had a sleepover as we were out the night before) and dropped Ash off. He was off to New Guinea to walk the Kokoda Track, they won the trip last year because they raised the most money in the Kokoda Challenge in the Gold Coast Hinterland. So then I had to do the footy runaround and then came home all exhausted so sat down to a delightful dinner of toasted sandwiches. YUM, well not really, I am being sarcastic. So it was all about everyone else and not about me and it was MOTHER'S DAY for goodness sake. Why didn't someone tell my family??????? So this year Mother's Day sucked big time, but I did take some time to get some photos of me and the kids, gotta love that 10 second timer on the camera!!!!!!
Anyways, I hope you all had a relaxing day with a huge sleep in. Wish it was me, but it is my year next year.
PS. if you get a chance, pop by the Kokoda Challenge site, it is such an awesome youth program and there is no funding from the Government. All monies are raised from the proceeds of the Kokoda Challenge which they run in July every year. Approx 350 teams walk 96 kms straight through up in the mountains behind the Gold Coast. Ash's team raised over $16000 on their own last year. I'll let you all know when they start their fundraising, you can donate to his team directly on the website.

Starstruck

Sorry it's not a better photo, my friend just facebooked this, the girl isn't home yet. The girls had a dance workshop at their dance studio with Phillipe from So you think you can dance. Wow, so exciting for her. She'll be home soon and I guess I'll get to hear all about it.

A delicious new kit

from Paper Poppy

and the add-on.
How gorgeous are these colours!!!!!! Mine is ordered and on its way from the States. I can't wait to get creating.

And here is my latest page using some things from the April Kit.

I completed this LO for the last Scrapability Soup comp over at Scrapability Sketches and the brief was to use B & W photos (1 x 5x7 or 2 x6x4), theme is family, design and products up to us, use a technique and describe how you do it, and we had to provide a sketch based on the Layout. This photo is of our friends Steph and Frank on their wedding day in 2005. As the title says they are "just like family".

So the comp is all finished now, wow talk about full-on, but I got so much scrapping done. Thanks Bek, it has been so much fun.

I will be back with some photos from our long weekend in Yamba.
