Prima has a big secret - click here to find out what it is.

Pass it on, you have until Sunday night to enter. There is a pile of Prima goodies up for grabs.

Guest DT for March.

Hi all, I am a bit excited!!!!! The team over at Scrapping Outback have asked me to be a Guest Designer this month. I have never done any DT work before so am a bit chuffed. Anyway here is the challenge -

Use stitching (can be machine, hand sewn or hand-drawn/stitching rubons), paint and mixed alphas on your Layout. You must include some Scrapping Outback chippie and the twist is you have to use paint somewhere else on your LO other than your chippie, of course you can paint your chippie as well. I have done a grunge type LO, but you could use these products/techniques on a shabby/vintage or a freestyle type LO, just use your imagination.

Here is my LO -

and some close ups

Just click here to come and join in. The prize is a $10.00 Scrapping Outback Voucher. Rachelle has some gorgeous chipboard in stock.
Cheers

Good morning all

Hiya everyone. Had a awesome scrappy day yesterday, here is what I got up to.

Just a sneaky peak at my Guest DT challenge over at Scrapping Outback for March. It will be up soon on the site but thought I would give you the heads up. I would love it if you can join in the challenge, and there is a prize too. See you over there.

And this is the latest Soup challenge over at Scrapability Sketches. Unfortunately the cut off date is over but head over anyway and check it out. Bek always has some great sketches and challenges happening.

The brief was to use two photos, the colour green, doodling, stitching, paint and add a banner. No flowers were to be included on the LO. So this is mine, all the LO's are gorgeous, can't wait for the next challenge.

By the way, that cute little cupcake is from My Little Bit of Whimsy Steph has the cutest little embellishments in her shop.

I'm off to a 40th in Noosa tomorrow, I can't wait. See you all when I get back.

All is well

Yay, she is home, my girl is home. She left for camp on Wednesday morning and for the first time no-one was there to say goodbye to her. I had to work and Ash had a meeting so Ash dropped her to school and left her there to board the bus all on her own. I felt like such a bad mother. Well guess what - she coped, and had an absolutely fabulous time. They went to Mapleton to the same camp I went to in Grade 11 and would you believe it, she was even in the same room as I was. The went abseiling, canoeing, orienteering, all the things you would expect them to do. The food was so-so. Ok one day, not so ok the next. But she is home now, all safe and sound and all the washing is done - PHEW!!!!!!

I scrapped this weekend, my third challenge for the DT tryout for Scrapability Sketches. We had to do a LO on a shaped base, with stitching, buttons, material and lace with mixed alphas. This screamed vintage to me so I scrapped a photo of my mum at her Deb Ball. She was 18 in this photo and made her own dress. It was great to scrap one of the few photos I have of her.

I am really enjoying the comp, getting some scrapping done which is a bonus. I'm not sure how I'll go but hey you've got to be in it to win it. I would love to score a DT spot with these guys, it is a pretty awesome site.

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. Will be back to update on our hole in the ground - LOL!!!!

xx Deb

PS. Forgot to mention that cute little heart pin is from My Little Bit of Whimsy. They have the cutest stuff.

Yesterday's effort

I am totally on a roll, starting procrastinating yet again, so I made the decision to stop thinking and just scrap. I grabbed the new sketch from Scrapability Sketches and just rotated it to suit my photo. I used the new January Boxx of Scraps kit from Scrapboxx and just added some raffia, buttons and flowers. This kit is absolutely stunning, thanks Maria.

We were so fortunate to have the best neighbours for 4 1/2 years. We had so much fun together, we often would have an impromptu drink in the driveways, around the pool or in winter by the outdoor chiminea. We even went on holidays with these guys. They are just the most genuine people, I know even though we have moved and they have moved we will stay in touch. Miss seeing you guys regularly. So I thought I would scrap a LO to remember the day we took the boats over to Peel Island. It was a great day out, hope there is still many more to come.

And another......

for the DT callout for Scrapability Sketches. I really like how this turned out, but cheated a tad. I used my summer idea and lots of stitching from the last LO and used up some leftover Fancy Pants papers I had.
Anyway I am pleased I have entered, at least I am scrapping again. That is the most important thing.

Thanks for the lovely words Rachelle, I can't wait to get started.

And joining the DT is the gorgeously funny Jane Jones. She constantly has us all in stitches with her posts. I would also like to wish Jane, Glenn, Zack and Claye congratulations on the impending birth of their baby. Big hugs Janey, you so deserve every happiness.

So if you have time, pop over and say "hello".
