I'm back

and so is my mojo. I was sort of stuck for some inspiration so I headed over to Scrapability Sketches and took part in some challenges. This LO was for Lisa's sketch challenge, awesome sketch Lis, I really enjoyed doing this one. and some close ups -

I used the background from the new Jillibean soup corrugated alphas and backed it with some yummy Jillibean soup paper. Then I just outlined them with pen, came up a treat. The apple is from an old set when I first started scrapbooking about 6 years ago. I had it chucked in my huge stash and thought it would work perfect on this page. What a great feeling of satisfaction to use up some old bits and pieces.

And this layout was for Bossy Bek's challenge. The brief was to make your own printed paper. This was an old technique I learnt years ago from Rachelle Minett. I used walnut ink and salt to achieve this effect. A perfect heritage or beachy look.

Those chippie seashells are available from Scrapping Outback as well as most of these gorgeous Prima flowers. The bottle top and tag is from Lil Red Rocket How cute are these???? I'm gonna go and buy me some more of them soon.

I'm glad I have my mojo back, was missing it dearly. I think it may have something to do with having far too much stuff and not knowing where to start. I find if I can give myself a starting point like a sketch or some sort of brief it gives me some focus.

I'm counting down the days now until the Scrapbooking Expo. I'm picking Bridge up from the airport Friday night then we are heading in to town on Saturday morning and staying at the Mantra for 2 nights. Aaaaahhhhhh bliss, no kids, no husband and some great girls with a shared passion. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

xx Deb
